Your privacy is important to us. TechShave is designed from the ground up to respect consumer privacy. We do not sell your personal data, track your personal identity across third-party websites, or require you to create an account to browse market data and compare devices.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Voluntarily Provide
- Newsletter Subscription: When you subscribe to our price alerts or newsletter, we store your email address to deliver periodic price drop updates.
- Feedback, Feature Votes & Bug Reports: When you submit a bug report, contact inquiry, or vote on roadmap features, we store your email address, your message, and any optional screenshot attachments.
B. Technical & Diagnostic Data
When you submit a bug report, our system automatically includes diagnostic context (the URL of the page you were visiting, your screen viewport dimensions, and your browser user-agent) strictly to help our engineering team reproduce and resolve the issue.
C. Anonymous Analytics & Usage Data
We aggregate privacy-preserving pageview counts, popular search queries, and filter selections to understand which phone models shoppers care about most. This aggregate telemetry contains no personally identifiable information.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
TechShave uses minimal, functional cookies and browser storage:
- Email Convenience Cookie (
vft_user_email): When you submit feedback or subscribe to our newsletter, we save your email in a secure first-party cookie for 1 year so you don't have to re-type it during future visits. - Comparison Picks (
localStorage): The phones you select for side-by-side comparison are saved locally in your browser storage. - Session Security (
vft_admin_session): Restricted solely to authorized administrative users for dashboard authentication.
4. Third-Party Services & Affiliate Links
When you click outbound affiliate links to Amazon or eBay, those platforms may place their own tracking cookies in accordance with their respective privacy policies to credit qualifying purchases. TechShave does not receive or store your payment details, shipping addresses, or checkout data.
For transactional email delivery and newsletter subscriber management, we utilize Resend (a secure cloud email infrastructure provider). Your email is never sold or rented to third-party advertisers.
5. Your Rights & Unsubscribing
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your email address from our subscriber records at any time. Every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also request complete data removal by emailing contact@techshave.com.
